Why Transmission Service Matters

Why Spark Plugs and Transmission Oil Are Part of a Major Service
Spark plugs wear gradually. The gap widens, firing efficiency drops and the engine may run rougher and use more fuel. In turbocharged engines, worn plugs can cause misfires that damage coils and catalysts. Replacing plugs on schedule keeps combustion clean and protects the ignition system.
Transmission oil lubricates and cools the gearbox. Even if the gearbox feels fine, old fluid will wear it from the inside. Changing fluid, filter and pan gasket together removes accumulated debris and gives the gearbox a fresh start.
AC Gas Top-Up and Alignment Check
AC systems lose a small amount of gas over time. A check and top-up at a major service restores cooling performance before summer. The wheel alignment check identifies problems that would wear tyres unevenly, saving money on tyre replacement.
Major Service for Luxury Cars
Luxury and performance cars may add items to the standard list: brake fluid, coolant, differential and transfer case oil, haldex or xDrive service, and software updates. We follow the manufacturer’s service plan for your VIN and tell you what is included before we begin.
